 “Molteno Reservoir” 🌊

Constructed in 1877 at the foot of Table Mountain as a rainwater catchment, Molteno Reservoir originally provided the city's drinking water.

The city has grown a tad since the 1800s, and the reservoir isn't big enough to provide for the population anymore. Now, the water is used for De Waal Park and the Company Gardens. It also provides a safe environment for geese, joggers, and other water creatures 😉🦆
