What are art prints?

An art print is a limited edition reproduction of an original work of art. The artist prints available via my website’s store are high quality limited edition giclee prints on Felix Schoeller True Fibre 200gsm paper. All prints are produced in Cape Town and signed personally by Aimee Lindeque. Artist prints are a fantastic alternative to original art because they are more affordable, but they still gain value as the years go by. Many of the prints go through multiple print runs to assure that a high standard is met.

Colour:

While I have tried to capture the art works as accurately as possible online, nothing is quite like the real thing. If you order an artwork from me the real thing might vary slightly from what you saw online, paper and pixels just don’t display colour in the same way. If this is not to your satisfaction, you are welcome to return the work.

Returns:

I have gone to lengths to include multiple images of the actual product on my store, but if a work is not what you had in mind or if the piece was damaged by the courier please contact me directly to arrange a refund or an exchange at no cost to you. To protect the integrity of the editioned prints, please note that no new prints will be dispatched without the return of the original product. Items can only be returned within three weeks of postage. For any returns that are not due to damage, the print must be returned in it’s original state (in the original packaging) in order for a refund to occur.

Framing:

Taking your new artwork to your local framer is the best way to display and preserve the art. However, if you are in a feud with your local framer, you can send me a message and I can arrange to have the work framed before shipping. Purchase your desired work from my online store and send me a message via my website or email and I will provide you with a quote from my local framing company. Framing costs can be arranged via EFT. Framing and shipping will only take place once the payment clears. Please bear in mind that framing and shipping the work will take considerably longer, up to three weeks depending on the framer’s workload.

Packaging:

Smaller prints come in hard cased plastic sleeves in protective envelopes. Larger prints come rolled up in postage tubes. Prints should be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage. Originals will be shipped framed or stretched unless arranged otherwise.

Preservation:

Once your new artwork is ready to be hung, try to find a place in your home that does not have constant direct sunlight. Constant UV exposure is bad for any artwork’s longevity.

Where can I see the work in person?

If you sign up to my mailing list you will get a nice monthly email letting you know if there is any art showing close by. My upcoming and current exhibitions appear on my home page, and I frequently post on social media to let people know about my shows.

Commissions:

I’ve worked on a variety of projects including murals, illustrations and textiles. If you have a project in mind, drop me an email for a consultation and quote. Please note that I reserve the right to not undertake commissions if the work does not align with my artistic vision.
