I’m not totally sure if this plant of mine wanted to sit for a plant portrait. I started slow, drawing a leaf here and a leaf there in between admin work and organising deliveries for my other inktober drawings.
I lugged it with me on my morning errands. It drove to the shops with me, was carted up flights of stairs and it even rode the elevator. After all that, we arrived at my studio and I finally settled down for a good drawing session, but I realized I’d forgotten my blue ink at home!
I got all my ducks in a row and finished this drawing this afternoon. The fish bone plant is glad to be home on its shelf. It can tell its friends about its recent adventures across Cape Town!
